Fate (a Sonnet)

DSC_6705

The twists of fate that brought me here
Have often lead to places anew
But the most enjoyable twists of fate
Are the ones that brought me to you.
Even in the very darkest of times
When life seemed so desperately blue
We’ve loved together and stood together
And beaten the odds and won through.
There are sorrows too that we don’t talk of
A pall of great sadness may descend
But we care for each other till the hurting subsides
And we do that as lovers and as friends.
My life would be that much less without you
I’m so happy that you feel that way too.
